Impact of runoff temporal distribution on ice dynamics

Abstract. Record highs of meltwater production at the surface Greenland ice sheet have been recorded with a high recurrence over last decades. Those melt seasons longer durations, larger intensities, or both increased length and intensity direct impact on mass balance its contribution to sea level rise. Moreover, also affects dynamics through lubrication feedback. It is still not clear how feedback impacts long-term velocities sheet. We model coupling Double Continuum (DoCo) subglacial hydrology shallow shelf approximation for Ice-sheet Sea-level System Model (ISSM).
